Get out of the house and see a movie!
Join your Heirloom Midwifery family for a day at the movies. Once a week the comfy Alamo Drafthouse allows babies and kids to just be themselves while in the theater. You can enjoy the movie without worrying about the comfort of the people around you. Everyone there is probably also a parent and understands! More about Baby Day from their website:
The Alamo Drafthouse understands that it is hard for new parents to get out for an evening on the town. That is why we proudly offer Baby Day, for regular shows that start before 2:00pm, on Tuesday afternoons excluding National holidays and special festival screenings. Infants are welcome to these shows, and of course, are allowed in for free. For our baby day shows, we keep the lights up a bit, and the sound down a bit, so your little one never has to know they even went to the movies! Take some time for yourself, pack up the kids, and head out to the Alamo Drafthouse for some much needed entertainment!
Tip from former client Lola: “I loved going to baby day when my baby was small. It was just dark enough that I felt comfortable breastfeeding in public. He always slept through the whole movie. If he got fussy at all I just popped him on the boob and he went back to sleep. It was nice to go do something as normal as seeing a movie when the rest of your life was upside down.”
